Configuring the GPS Tracker Android by SMS Text Message

    The Application GPS Tracker Android has shown a great application utility scanning the phone for free on the platform GPS Gate and running as a service in the background.

    Now you can set all the parameters of this service via SMS text messages. For example, to change the scanning time to 60 seconds just send an SMS text message to your phone with the following contents: ##SRVTM=60;

    

    Configuration protocol:

        ##parâmeter 1,parâmeter 2,parâmeter 3,...,parâmeter 7;

    Example: 

       Send an SMS text message with the following content to mobile phone with GPS Tracker Android application: ##SRVEN=E,SRVTM=60,BEEP=23;

    Configuration Parâmeters:

        SRVEN - Enables and disables tracing. Allows value E or D.

        SRVTM - Sets the interval, in seconds, the trace messages. Allows value exceeding 60. (Example: SRVTM=180)

        GPSAC - Set the precision in meters of the GPS. Allows more than 10.

        EMLEN - Enables and disables the sending of mail. Allows value E and D. (Example: EMLEN=E)

        SMSEN - Enables and disables the sending of SMS. Allows value E and D.

        SMSADR - Sets the phone number that you receive the SMS message. (Example: SMSADR=+558388997755)

        EMLADR - Sets the email address for sending email. (Example: EMLADR=abcde@gmail.com)

        SMSNOT - Enables and disables notification of incoming SMS messages. Allows value E and D.

        BEEP - Does the phone beeps sound on the amount of times you want. Allows any value greater than 1.  (Example: BEEP=10) In this example, the phone will emit 10 beeps when you receive the SMS message.

Configurar o GPS Tracker Android por Mensagem SMS

    A aplicação GPS Tracker Android tem se mostrado uma aplicação de grande utilidade fazendo o rastreamento do celular de forma gratuita na plataforma GPS Gate e rodando como um serviço em background.

    Agora é possível configurar todos os parâmetros deste serviço através de mensagens de texto SMS. Por exemplo, para alterar o tempo de rastreamento para 60 segundos basta enviar uma mensagem de texto SMS para o seu celular com o seguinte conteúdo: ##SRVTM=60;
  

    Protocolo de configuração:

    Exemplo:

       Enviar uma mensagem de texto SMS com o seguinte conteúdo, para o celular com a aplicação GPS Tracker Android: ##SRVEN=E,SRVTM=60,BEEP=23;

    Parâmetros de configuração:

        ## - Inicializador de comando do GPS Tracker Android.

        SRVEN - Habilita e desabilita o rastreamento. Permite valor E ou D.

        SRVTM - Configura o intervalo, em segundos, das mensagens de rastreamento. Permite valor superior a 60. (Exemplo: SRVTM=180)

        GPSAC - Configura a precisão, em metros, do GPS. Permite valor superior a 10.

        EMLEN - Habilita e desabilita o envio de Email. Permite valor E e D. (Exemplo: EMLEN=E)

        SMSEN - Habilita e desabilita o envio de SMS. Permite valor E e D.

        SMSADR - Configura o número de telefone que receberá a mensagem de texto SMS. (Exemplo: SMSADR=+558388997755)

        EMLADR - Configura o endereço de email para o envio de email. (Exemplo: EMLADR=abcde@gmail.com)

        SMSNOT - Habilita e desabilita a notificação de recebimento de mensagens SMS. Permite valor E e D.

        BEEP - Faz o telefone soar beeps na quantidade de vezes desejada. Permite qualquer valor superior a 1.  (Exemplo: BEEP=10) Neste exemplo, o telefone irá emitir 10 beeps ao receber a mensagem de texto SMS.

How to use and configure the GPS Tracker Android

   
   The application "GPS Tracker Android" is intended to track the user's cell and help you find if it is stolen. For this it is necessary to use a tracking server free, the application was developed for GPS Gate. To create an account in GPS Gate read the topic: Creating account on GPS Gate.


   After installing the application GPS Tracker Android. In the first access prompted theuser to type and retype the password for the system configuration. Beginning in the second access will be asked the password registered as images below:

   After logging into the system, will appear the first screen of the application configuration, in case "Tracking". This screen Enable / disable the sending of location information for the GPS Gate (free) tracking system, and determines the interval, in seconds, sending this information.

Note: Sending data to the server GPS Gate will via the Internet. We recommend using a range of 3600 seconds (1 hour).

       Screen Tracking

   The next screen is "SMS" which will register a number for receiving messages at power on. The checkbox "Enable the sending of SMS?" if checked, will cause the application to send an sms when the phone is restarted. If unchecked, your application will only send the sms message when the SIM card (simcard) is exchanged.

Note: We recommend always setting an SMS number, even if the checkbox is unchecked. Thus to replace the chip (assuming the thief put another chip) the application will send the sms to the number registered in connecting the phone.

Screen SMS

   The format of the number must be registered with the following format "+55" (country code) "83" (DDD) "88776655" (phone number).

   The rear screen is "EMAIL" which will register an email address for receiving messages from location to connect the phone. The checkbox "Enable sending mail?" if checked, will cause the application to send an e-mail whenever the phone is restarted. If unchecked, your application will only send email when the chip (simcard) is exchanged.

Note: We recommend always setting an EMAIL address, even if the checkbox is unchecked. Thus to replace the chip (assuming the thief put another chip) the application will send the email to the address registered to the phone call.

Screen EMAIL

   Then we have the screen "GPS ". This screen allows you to set the precision in meters, the GPS coordinates to be considered valid. If the application is unable to collect coordinates valid for 5 minutes, the collected information will be sent.

   The "Adj. Zone" should be configured so that the Date and Time is GMT 0 sent to the server of GPS tracking Gate. Example: in Brasília is GMT -3, this means the field contains the value 3 (representing +3, making time stand GMT 0).

Note: The "Adj. Zone"will be deleted in future releases. The application will make the adjustment automatically.

   The last screen is the "info" and contains information about the application and the developers.

   By saving the settings will be saved, the identifier of the simcard, from within this time the chip in use will be considered as normal use. If the chip is changed as the application will identify a violation and will send SMS, Email, and make the screening interval to 3 minutes. For the application does not treat the exchange as a violation of the chip is necessary to access the configuration panel (using the new chip) and save the settings, now the application will leave the state of violation and identify the new chip as the normal use user.

   Important points and issues to be considered for optimal operation of the application:

    - If you changed the chip (simcard) the screening interval is changed to 180 seconds (3 minutes) and will remain until the application is reconfigured.

    - The phone must have internet access.

    - The phone must be enabled with GPS, as shown in image below:

   Note: Do not worry about battery consumption because the GPS being enabled as shown in picture below, the application itself will start and stop using the GPS automatically.

Note: When the GPS is in use, a satellite symbol appears in the notification bar Android. After collecting valid coordinates, the application automatically turns off the GPS.

Creating an account on the GPS Gate

The application "GPS Tracker Android" is intended to track the user's cell and helpyou find if it is stolen. For this it is necessary to use a tracking server, in case theapplication was developed for GPS Gate.

   To create an account in GPS Gate is necessary to access the link below and fill outthe form: http://gpsgate.com/signup/gpsgate_com_buddytracker. Upon completion,you should check the "Accept terms" then click the "Sign Up".

   To access the account set up and configure it, you should click on the name "Log in" and then enter the "username" and "password" then click "OK" as the image below.

 

    To register your handset with Android in GPS Gate, you must click on "preferences" on the homepage after logging in GPS Gate. Then click "device settings" you should see the following screen:

   The "IMEI" refers to the IMEI of your mobile device and used for the server to identifythe GPS location data are related to your phone.

   To collect the IMEI, type in your cell phone (as you were making a phone call) the following traits: *#06#. You should see the IMEI as the image below:

   Fill in the "IMEI" number with the IMEI of your phone and fill out the "Device name ",then click "Add device".

    Done, now you just go back to the home screen by clicking on "Maps / Home" andstart tracking your mobile device.

Como usar e configurar o GPS Tracker Android

    A aplicação GPS Tracker Android tem por objetivo fazer o rastreamento do celular do usuário e ajudá-lo a encontrar caso este seja roubado. Para isso faz-se necessário o uso de um servidor de rastreamento gratuito, no caso, a aplicação foi desenvolvida para o GPS Gate. Para criar uma conta no GPS Gate leia o tópico: Criando uma conta no gps gate

   Após a instalação do aplicativo GPS Tracker Android. No primeiro acesso será solicitado que o usuário digite e redigite a senha de acesso para configuração do sistema. Apartir do segundo acesso, será solicitado a senha cadastrada, conforme imagens abaixo:

   Após efetuar login no sistema, irá aparecer a primeira tela de configuração da aplicação, no caso "Rastreamento". Esta tela Habilita/Desabilita o envio de informações de localização para o sistema de rastreamento GPS Gate (gratuito), bem como, determina o intervalo, em segundos, de envio dessas informações.

Observação: O envio de dados para o servidor GPS Gate será através da internet. Recomendamos utilizar um intervalo de 3600 segundos (1 hora).

   A tela seguinte é de "SMS" que permitirá cadastrar um número para o recebimento de mensagens ao ligar o telefone. A caixa de marcação "Habilitar o envio de SMS?", se estiver marcada, fará com que a aplicação envie um sms sempre que o telefone for reiniciado. Se estiver desmarcada, a aplicação só irá enviar a mensagem sms quando o chip (simcard) for trocado.

Observação: Recomendamos sempre configurar um número SMS, mesmo que a caixa de marcação esteja desmarcada. Desta forma ao trocar o chip (supondo que o ladrão coloque outro chip) a aplicação irá enviar o sms para o número cadastrado ao ligar o telefone.

   O formato do número a ser cadastrado deve respeitar o seguinte formato "+55" (código do país) "83" (DDD) "88776655" (Número do telefone).

   A tela posterior é de "EMAIL" que permitirá cadastrar um endereço de email para o recebimento de mensagens de localização ao ligar o telefone. A caixa de marcação "Habilitar o envio de Email?", se estiver marcada, fará com que a aplicação envie um email sempre que o telefone for reiniciado. Se estiver desmarcada, a aplicação só irá enviar o email quando o chip (simcard) for trocado.

   Em seguida temos a tela "GPS". Esta tela permitirá definir a precisão, em metros, da coordenada gps a ser considerada como válida. Caso a aplicação não consiga coletar coordenadas válidas durante 5 minutos, será enviada a informação coletada. 

   O campo "Adj. Fuso Horário" deve ser configurado para que a Data e Hora seja enviadas em GMT 0 para o servidor de rastreamento GPS Gate. Exemplo: em Brasília é GMT -3, desta forma, o campo de conter o valor 3 (representando +3, fazendo com que a hora fique em GMT 0).

Observação: O campo "Adj. Fuso Horário" será excluído em versões futuras. A aplicação fará o ajuste de forma automática.

   A última tela é "Info" e contém informações sobre a aplicação e sobre os desenvolvedores.

   Ao salvar as configurações, será salvo o identificador do simcard, apartir deste momento o chip em uso será considerado como de uso normal. Caso o chip seja trocado a aplicação identificará como uma violação e fará o envio de SMS, de Email, e fará o rastreamento com intervalo de 3 minutos. Para que o aplicativo não trate a troca do chip como violação é necessário acessar o painel de configuração (utilizando o novo chip) e salvar as configurações, neste momento a aplicação sairá do estado de violação e identificará o novo chip como sendo o de uso normal do usuário.

   Pontos importantes e pontos a serem considerados para um perfeito funcionamento do aplicativo:

   - Caso seja trocado o chip (simcard) o intervalo de rastreamento será alterado para 180 segundos (3 minutos) e permanecerá até que o aplicativo seja reconfigurado.

   - O celular deverá ter acesso a internet.

   - O celular deverá estar com o GPS habilitado, conforme mostra imagem abaixo:

   Observação: Não se preocupe com o consumo da bateria pois o gps estando habilitado conforme imagem abaixo, a própria aplicação irá iniciar e parar o uso do gps de forma automática.

Observação: Quando o gps está em uso, aparece um símbolo de satélite na barra de notificação do Android. Após coletar coordenadas válidas, a aplicação desliga o GPS automaticamente.  

Criando uma conta no GPS Gate

    A aplicação GPS Tracker Android tem por objetivo fazer o rastreamento do celular do usuário e ajudá-lo a encontrar caso este seja roubado. Para isso faz-se necessário o uso de um servidor de rastreamento, no caso, a aplicação foi desenvolvida para o GPS Gate.

   Para criar uma conta no GPS Gate é necessário acessar o seguinte link e preencher os dados do formulário: http://gpsgate.com/signup/gpsgate_com_buddytracker. Após o preenchimento, deve-se marcar a opção “Accept terms”, em seguida clique no botão “Sign UP".

   A imagem abaixo mostra um exemplo de preenchimento:

   

    Aparecerá uma tela de confirmação da criação da conta no GPS Gate, conforme imagem abaixo:

   Para acessar a conta criada e configurá-la, você deverá clicar no nome "Log in" e em seguida digitar o "username" e o "password", em seguida clique em "OK", conforme imagem abaixo.

 

    Para cadastrar seu aparelho celular com o Android você deverá clicar em "preferences" na página inicial após o login no sistema GPS Gate. Em seguida, clique em "device settings", deverá aparecer a seguinte tela:

   O campo "IMEI" é referente ao IMEI do seu aparelho celular e será utilizado para que o servidor identifique que os dados de localização gps são referentes ao seu celular.

   Para coletar o IMEI digite em seu celular (como estivesse a fazer um chamada telefonica) os caracteres: *#06#. Deverá aparecer o IMEI conforme imagem abaixo:

   Preencha o campo "IMEI" com o número imei do seu celular e preencha o campo "Device name", em seguida clique em "Add device".

   Pronto, agora é só voltar para a tela inicial clicando em "Maps/Home", e começar a rastrear o seu aparelho celular.

   Sempre que precisar visualizar onde o seu celular está, basta acessar: www.gpsgate.com e efetuar o login no sistema.
